![]() ![]() Similar to you, I didn't want the licensing fees of AutoCAD and the job I was leaving had trained me on SprinkCAD (running on AutoCAD) but the sales guy I was partnering up with for us to start our own little freelance gig in NYC suggested BricsCAD and its' worked perfect ever since. SprinkCAD + BricsCAD is exactly what I've used the past. With the Tyco product calcs come with it and it has to be a whole lot cheaper than anything else out there. ![]() $1,105 USD (heck of a lot cheaper than AutoCad) Tyco has a program that is compatible with BricsCAD which is a whole lot less expensive than AutoCad. That said I am NOT going to blow $15,000 plus spend a couple thousand a year for upgrades and then there is the AutoCad that isn't cheap either. I don't need the money but I always enjoyed what I did (it's like a game to many of us) and it keeps my mind and body active. Slow down by taking on a project here and there a couple thousand a month working 20 hours a week and I would be a happy camper. I'm hold NICET IV certification, I'm close to 71 years old, been designing fire sprinklers for over 45 years and while I do want to slow down I don't want to stop. I am sure I am not unique but here is my story. If anyone has used it I would value your opinion. ![]() First let me be hones, I have never used this product but I am thinking about it. ![]()
